Historically used as site for township meetings, medicine shows, recitals, community institutes, basketball games, and meeting location to support activities of local residents. The Township Hall · Constructed in 1896. · Historically used as site for township meetings, medicine shows, recitals, community institutes, basketball games, and meeting location to support activities of local residents. · Once the center of township life, now used primarily for bimonthly trustee meetings, zoning commission meetings, and zoning appeals meetings. · No restroom facilities. · No kitchen serving facilities. | Accomplishments · Received $2,000 grant from the Doris Kaspar Foundation to initiate the preservation and restoration of Township Hall activities. · Completed plan and elevation view drawings of the building. · Inspected the building for structural adequacy. Building found to be structurally sound and free of termites. · Restored stage curtain. · Restored/repaired roof slate.
